About consecutive interpreting

Consecutive interpreting can also be called gradual interpreting because the spoken text is interpreted in parts or sentences into the target language.

The interpreting process

An interpreter usually stands or sits next to the speaker, who after a few minutes, usually after expressing a whole idea, leaves space for the interpreter to interpret the content into the target language. No special interpreting equipment is needed.

We most frequently provide interpreting for:

  • Audits
  • Business meetings
  • Training
  • Presentations
  • Lectures
  • Market surveys
  • Due diligence and data room activities
  • Press conferences

Confidentiality and data protection

Your trust is our commitment, and the protection of information provided during working with you is our highest priority.

Any information obtained by our interpreters or project managers is deemed confidential, and we contractually guarantee that our interpreters or staff will not disclose such information to third parties.

All our interpreters have signed a strict confidentiality agreement under which they also undertake to ensure data protection after we terminate our mutual cooperation.

Languages and the interpreting venue

While English and German remain the most frequently required interpreting languages, we generally interpret into all European and non-European languages combined with Slovak or Czech as well as between foreign languages.

We provide interpreting in Slovakia as well as abroad.

‘High consecutive’

‘High consecutive’ is a type of consecutive interpreting where the speaker pauses after substantially longer time intervals and the interpreter makes notes. When the speaker falls silent, the interpreter interprets the content of the speech into the target language with the help of his notes.

This type of interpreting is mostly used interpreting at meetings of senior government officials.

Our interpreters

Our interpreters are professionals with business ethics and experience in diplomatic protocol who have participated in important interpreting events in Slovakia, at European institutions and for major businesses.

With our more than 22 years of experience in interpreting, we use top consecutive interpreting professionals.
